APPROACH
A thoughtful, integrative
approach to lasting change.
Therapy is not simply about stopping unwanted behaviors. It's about understanding the patterns beneath them and building a more connected, meaningful life.
My approach combines the structure and accountability of addiction recovery with the deeper insight offered by psychoanalysis and Gestalt psychotherapy.
Healing happens in connection
Healing happens in relationship. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe, private space to explore what feels difficult to talk about elsewhere. Through trust, honesty, and curiosity, we can reduce shame, increase self-awareness, and create new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Understanding the cycle
Compulsive sexual behaviors and sex addiction rarely exist in isolation. Together, we identify triggers, high-risk situations, emotional vulnerabilities, and the patterns that keep you stuck in cycles of acting out, relief, and regret. Awareness creates the space for choice, self-regulation, and change.
Attachment
Early relationships shape how we experience intimacy, trust, and connection. Exploring your attachment patterns can help explain why certain struggles repeat in relationships—and open the door to deeper, more secure connections.
Psychoanalysis
Psychoanalysis helps uncover the unconscious patterns and past experiences that influence your present. By bringing these into awareness, we gain greater freedom, self-understanding, and the ability to create lasting change from the inside out.
Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt therapy focuses on awareness in the present moment—the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and body. This approach strengthens self-awareness, helps you move from automatic reactions to intentional choices, and fosters more authentic relationships.
Addiction recovery
I integrate the evidence-based addiction recovery principles and the CSAT model into treatment. Together, we develop practical strategies, strengthen accountability, and build the foundation for recovery—creating not just freedom from behaviors, but a life that feels meaningful and connected.
What therapy looks like
Therapy is collaborative and tailored to your needs. Some sessions address immediate challenges; others explore deeper emotional experiences, relationships, and life patterns.
My style is direct, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. My goal is to create a space where you can be fully yourself—and move toward the life and relationships you want.
